DCC PTO Achievements

Do you want to know how much your DCC PTO accomplished during the 2008-2009 school year? Just take a look at how DCC staff, teachers, and students were served-- all because of Parent Involvement!

  • Awarded over $19,000 in teacher grants.
  • Bought and had installed the Weather Bug system ($14,000).
  • Prepared 1,000 staff meals.
  • Furnished $2,000 in ThunderWear for staff.
  • Provided 5,200 CSAP snacks for students and staff ($800).
  • Fed breakfast to 64 bus drivers.
  • Created 450 cookies for staff.
  • Hosted the Milken National Educator Award reception.
  • Sponsored 2 luncheons for IB visits.

DCC PTO also contributed to building our "Campus Community" by hosting or offering support for these events:

  • Pancake Breakfast at the DCC ThunderRun
  • "Give Your Heart to Science" Auction Gala
  • "Give Your Heart to Mom" Muffin Breakfast
  • "Grillin' with Dad" BBQ Lunch
  • BoxTops winning classroom parties
  • End of Year Picnic
  • Rounded up volunteers for classrooms, field trips, field days, dances, book fair, back to school, and so much more!
