PTO General Meeting

We're sorry if you missed it on Thursday, September 17th. Ms. Becky Allan, Middle School Administrator, delivered a fantastic report on the results of last year's CSAP tests for 3rd through 10th grades at DCC. We found out the amount of academic growth our children achieved in the areas of Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and Science. Dr. Gary Batsell, Executive Principal, addressed several progress goals for DCC students planned for this year, such as raising reading and math achievement levels for 3rd graders, aligning the entire campus curriculum PreK through 12th grades, and opening a wider range of community forums each with quarterly evaluations.

We also would like to extend a warm welcome our newest PTO Board members, voted in at Thursday's meeting:

  • Ann Nielsen- VP High School
  • Jayme Kuntzelman- co-VP Middle School
  • Lori Black- co-Director Hospitality and Social
  • Jeane Turner- Communications Director
  • Kim Beichner- co-VP Fundraising
  • Regina Kucharski- Volunteer Director

The PTO members approved issuing teacher mini-grants in the amount of $75 for all full-time equivalent teachers, and a percentage of that for part-time teachers. For the entire school, these mini-grants total over $9,000.
