Staff Token of Appreciation
Last Updated (Wednesday, 02 September 2009 13:11)
Join the DCC PTO Board members as they go from room to room spreading a little holiday cheer and tokens of appreciation throughout the Campus on Dec 15th from 8-10 am. Items are hand-delivered to all teachers in grades K through 8, and dropped off for High School teachers (who are busy conducting final exams-- we don't want to interrupt).
Last year, the token was a candy cane with a little tag attached. The token something small, but the fact that we recognize and show our appreciation for each of our wonderful DCC teachers and staff is BIG! Often, the students get involved in showing their appreciation by cheering and clapping. What a festive way to say "Thank You" to all the teachers and staff at DCC, and a wonderful way to end the semester!

Thank you to all the parents who showed their support for our wonderful teachers on Friday, August 13, 2010, as teachers and staff spent an extra-long day helping students pick up schedules and prepare for the new school year, they were treated to a wonderful meal presented by the DCC PTO. This 2010-2011 school year kicked off with the meal theme of "Picnic in the Canyon!", a hearty meal with an assortment of foods suitable for a picnic-- fried chicken, potato salad, chocolate chip cookies. YUM! Teachers and staff were energized by the delicious food as they work through the day.
Parent / Teacher Conference Meals
Last Updated (Wednesday, 02 September 2009 12:59)
Parent / teacher conference days are a very busy time for DCC staff! The teachers work longer hours and sometimes do not have time to get something to eat, particularly around dinnertime.
At the parent / teacher conferences in October, we will need Parent Involvement (PI) from the 3rd, 8th, and 10th grades to host a "Fall Fest" meal for the staff and teachers. Our staff appreciates having something good to eat on those long days.
The March parent / teacher conferences, we will need Parent Involvement (PI) from those parents with children in the 2nd and 7th grades. In previous years, we've had chili dishes and international varieties of quiche brought in by the many wonderful parents to support our teachers.
